Neste primeiro tratamos da introdução ao comportamento espectral da água. No vídeo, demonstramos algumas caracterésticas peculiares deste tipo de superfície, usando exemplos de diferentes regiões do planeta.
Em 5:34, por exemplo, temos que a alta concetração de bactérias do gênero Halobacterium, é acompanhada de grande concentração de Dunaliella salina, uma microalga halófita, e são essas as caracteristicas que, juntas, tornam a água de tonalidade rosa.
